Playing along with the current feeling of vomiting while my head being bulldozed, I thought a little bit about my music to soothe it. I dreamt about that monster called the Grey Child I saw in the Silent Hill trailer along with the Orcs and Uruk-Hais of LotR. Just don't forget I also love LotR Soundtracks.
Tell me about the old Vertical Horizon. I don't know they exist, of course, before I happen to see their video 'You're a God' on MTV ages ago. It turned that I like them. Then I remembered I couldn't get enough of some of their songs like 'Best I Ever Had,' 'All of You,' 'Forever,' etc. Their motive is to show some little intimate view in love. The vocalist enjoys me a lot with his voice of somewhat going to shout anytime in a humble manner. Add the completely-sort-of-same-style-of-place when they shoot for a video, a little gloomy room with them playing their instruments. I find it quite amusing because it's funny to see them in that scenery all the time. I love them even if they're not in the mood to make another album because of some circumstances. I guess they could cure me in - I remembered them again.
I'm beginning to like Nightwish - but just sort it in the lyrics side. The female vocalist's voice is somehow weird for me - like she's advertising a sci-fi horror movie or telling a Chinese story - but the good thing is that her voice is in sync with the guitars. The rock music is just like the Evanescence - they are like Evanescence though more extreme in terms of the scary motive. The tune of their song is also a bit mystical and orchestra-like. The thing I love about the lyrics is that they're aware of some good issues and poetic reflecting on you or on different views about certain things. I think I'll add it in my friendster favorite music. They're good but I won't deny that they do scare me a bit with some of their songs. They're replacing Tarja, the lead vocalist, since she had left the band that's why no new album has been released by now. Nightwish is not a crap and it's official. I think the idea that they could sing in the soundtracks of some scary movies isn't a bad one, is it?
I'm also learning to appreciate the music of James Blunt. I mean, he sings good. He sounds like a telling a lousy story he experienced to a little girl. His simple motive, for me, is a bit like the Maroon5's. Just like making you say that you are normal, in a good way. I've seen that he's a British and I just love British accent - that's why I love Alanis with her 'subservient' talks. The lyrics aren't useless comparing it to the crappy 50 Cent albums and other rap or over-hip-hop music. Yuck, I could puke anytime. His style is somewhat sliding and not purely cheesy, I could honestly enjoy a good 'normal' music for sometime like this one. Big deal he doesn't scare me.
Thanks to google and to their real sources for the pictures, by the way.
